Argentum Backup. PC World Best Buy award.
The sky's the limit. September, 2004, Argentum Backup wins the PC World (USA) Best Buy Award, another prominent award in the computer industry. PC World's editors reviewed storage hardware and software products to select category leaders. The editors at PC World selected Argentum Backup over five other competitors' products, securing the top position as the most reliable backup application available today. PC World's editors recommend Argentum Backup for its clean interface, use of Zip files, and its competitive pricing.
We are thrilled to have a prominent magazine such as PC World give Argentum Backup a Best Buy award. This is a reflection of our ongoing commitment to deliver innovative and ergonomic software solutions to protect users' data. We feel it is an outstanding honor and achievement for Argentum to be recognized by one of the industry's most respected magazines as its Best Buy among other backup software products.
The Best Buy honor from PC World is the latest in a series of prestigious awards that Argentum Backup has received this year. Our thanks go to everyone who has and is helping us with Argentum Backup, and to anyone who has contributed in whatever way. It's our goal to continue providing you with the most effective backup software solutions available.
We're welcome any new customers followed with the PC World publication. Argentum Backup is a four-year-old backup utility with thousands users world-wide. Argentum Backup release 2.5 is scheduled to be available in a few weeks with a number of important fixes and improvements.
Argentum Backup 2.5 will support strong, WinZip 9 compatible, 128-bit and 256-bit AES symmetric encryption to securely protect your sensitive data inside Zip files. AES 128-bit and 256-bit strong encryption methods provide significantly greater cryptographic security than the traditional Zip encryption method used in earlier versions of Argentum Backup. AES has been approved by NIST as a Federal Information Processing Standard for use by the U.S. government, businesses, and individuals.

Several paintings by Van Gogh are among the most expensive paintings in the world. On May 15, 1990 Van Gogh's Portrait of Doctor Gachet was sold for $ 82,500,000.00 in auction, establishing a new price record.

Pablo Picasso is probably the most famous artist of the 20th century. During his artistic career, which lasted more than 75 years, he created thousands of works, not only paintings but also sculptures, prints, and ceramics, using all kinds of materials. Remember, art is more than just decoration. Whether it creates order and harmony or expresses chaos, art stimulates emotion and intellect. Art fills the needs of the artist and expresses a universal language. Without words, it may convey any message. It may reveal truth or fantasy, protest injustice, and raise social consciousness, express spiritual values and immortalize it's subject. Art is not a luxury but an essential part of life and the human experience.
Argentum Backup. Backing up files across Internet.
Remote Internet backups are very secure. With the help of Internet you can have your backup copy stored at a remote location, in a different city, or state. There are a number of paid, subscription-based backup services, yet you can set up your own remote backup strategy. All you need to have is a remote computer itself, connected to the Internet, with FTP server running on that computer.
Argentum Backup can only back up data to drives that support Windows networking. However, you can use a third-party software package, such as WebDrive (http://www.southrivertech.com/) that allows you to map any Internet FTP site to a local drive letter using the standard FTP protocol. Once you set up the FTP site as a remote drive, Argentum Backup can copy files to it. A simple file copy operation results in remote FTP transfer to remote location via Internet.
