Under the hood.

We are currently finishing our brand new Zip64 library to work with huge Zip archives. Besides this very useful feature (Zip64) alone, this library is expected to be very fast, faster than any other Zip compression library available on the market, including expensive ones that cost up to $650.00 per license and more. This is because all those libraries have been built on top of the same, old Info-Zip code which was designed to be portable and that is a major slowdown.

We've created our library in pure object-oriented C++ language, bearing in mind Windows platforms only. Nevertheless, please be sure current implementation of Info-Zip library in Argentum Backup is still the fastest available, because it has been tweaked and profiled a lot. You can be sure Argentum Backup is the fastest and easiest way to back up your files.

Well. Now what? We need to know if you're interested in AES-256 strong encryption be added into this library to make your Zip protected backups unbreakable. You know original Zip passwords can be recovered in a few hours on a powerful computer. Contrary, with AES-256 it would take several thousand years to recover your password provided that you rule all computers on planet Earth to make calculations for you. Send us your feedback!

That's all for now. If you ever want to unsubscribe or change your e-mail address, just answer this e-mail provided that your e-mail address is included in the body of the message. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or comments you may have.
